Technical data and measurement results:
Frequency response:
The frequency response is balanced with a slight downward tendency towards the treble. There are no pronounced accentuations or dips and the speaker exhibits uniform directivity. Below 45 degrees there is a drop in the mid-range, which minimizes reflections from the side walls, which is desirable in living rooms in terms of room acoustics. The optimum angle of the speakers is between 15 and 30 degrees (optimum measurement angle is 22 degrees).
· Low frequency response: 78 Hz at -3dB, 55 Hz at -8dB
· Efficiency: 82dB (1 W / 1 m)
A variation in height is also uncritical and shows neither emphasis nor dips in the frequency response (measured at a distance of 1m between 85cm and 115cm).
Crossover:
Very smooth transition from the low-midrange driver to the tweeter. In the following diagram you can also see very clearly that the break-up resonance of the bass-midrange driver has been completely filtered out.
· Crossover frequency: 2,3 kHz
Impedance:
The MusikBoxx with MusikCrss crossover forms a loudspeaker with a nominal 8 ohms. The minimum is 6.4 ohms at 153 Hz. The loudspeaker therefore does not place high demands on an amplifier in terms of impedance and can also be operated with tube amplifiers.
· Nominal impedance: 8 Ohm (in the most relevant area from 90 Hz to 10 kHz only slight variation between 6.4 und 12 Ohm)
Summary:
· Low frequency response: 78 Hz at -3dB, 55 Hz at -8dB
· Efficiency: 82dB (1 W / 1 m)
· Crossover frequency: 2.3 kHz
· Nominal impedance: 8 Ohm
